"We Put Our
Money In The Bag, Not On It"
The name Beaver
Dam has a lot of meaning connected to it for me. Beaver Dam consisted
of several hundred acres of land that once grew corn, wheat and soybeans
for our hog farm. We are now growing trees and grass, supporting
a beautiful array of wildlife. It's a real pleasure to hear Bob
White Quail, and see the wild ducks, geese, and the Great Blue Heron in
the stream of which the farm was named after.
My wife, Mary,
and I spent our honeymoon night here at Beaver Dam Farm over 40 years
ago. It was a secure place where we raised our 4 children.
They are now grown, raising families of their own. We're fortunate
to have them all living here, surrounding us with 14 grandchildren.
This is a special place to a lot of people. You can see why I take
the name "Beaver Dam" very seriously. I wanted to be very sure
that the products we intend to sell would meet high quality standards.
I've raised hogs and cattle most
of my life. I also worked for a national premix company for 30 years.
There I dealt with farmers and small feed mills covering a five-state
area. I learned first hand the basics of good nutrition needed for
an animal's best performance and maintenance.
